Flow: 385
Water Temp: 62
We’ve had a busy week with great guests and constantly
changing river. On top of it all we made a jaunt down to Gunnison to explore
Tomichi Creek (we’ll be helping out with the Ride With Autism next summer). Tomichi
was a fun break fishing clear small streams for little browns and it’s a great
reminder of how fortunate we are living minutes, or seconds in my case from
quality trout, food and friends. I appreciate all the waves as we hang out,
fish and BBQ.
Conditions have been up and down on the river as much as the
flow. Clarity matches the current and the trout are moving with it. SJW,
buggers, Johnny flash and hare’s ears produced the bigger trout. 4G mobile
coverage throughout the tailwater allows for easy access to check the flows,
and it’s recommended to do so. Cover lots of water and don’t skip the submerged
clusters scattered about. Conditions will continue to improve as fall
approaches. Thanks for the great days.
Tight lines,
Ben
